Our solid Oak flooring, beams and balustrade played an important role in restoring the character and charm of this former Exmoor farmhouse.
On the Western edge of Exmoor National Park, close to Bratton Flemming, your’ll find Leworthy Farm Cottage. Glenda and David Isaac have spent their time lovingly renovating this former farmhouse, putting back its character and charm and using Coppice & Crown Oak flooring along the way.
Glenda is the founder of the South West boutique store, The Pink Rooster. Being able to come back to a relaxing, warm and characterful home is important for a busy lifestyle.
The couple have used Coppice & Crown’s wood to create a beautiful home. Stairs, flooring, beams, balustrades and porch details have all been sourced from the sawmill here at Coppice & Crown. Glenda and David used Coppice & Crown from the beginning of their renovation and have discussed and seeked advice throughout.
Our Classic Oak flooring has been used in the en-suite bathrooms in the couple’s home, creating beautiful natural spaces to relax and unwind. Our wide Oak floorboards create space and amplify the bathroom sizes, creating a sense of luxury.
Nature is integrated into the home by using Oak as a predominant material within the interior design of this home. As you walk through into the garden room, your eyes look through glass paned Oak framed doors to the everlasting view of valleys and fields. Then, stepping onto the staircase, your feet are met with the warm soft texture of chunky Oak slabs to continue on from our Classic Oak flooring.
Using our Oak flooring and other Oak timber throughout connects this house to the environment around. It’s a clever mix of outdoor rural landscape with luxurious home comforts. Glenda and David have recently sold this beautiful home and have recently been back to the yard to use our Classic Oak flooring in their new home too.
