Flooring / Character Oak

Character Oak Flooring Estimator

The signature flooring from UK Hardwoods. The range of small knots and occasional cat’s paws and medullary rays in the natural oak flooring gives a characterful presence to a room. The honey and pale straw tones of the hardwood blend harmoniously into a home or space. We use the heartwood in the face of our boards, with minimal sapwood showing through your floor. Our Character Oak wood flooring adds depth and warmth to a room and it feels glossy, silky and warm to the touch.

FAQs for Character Oak Flooring

  • Do I need to sand the boards?

The boards are planed to a smooth finish all round. Some customers sand the boards to create a more glossy finish, whereas others leave them unsanded.

  • Can you plane these to a different depth?

We can on request, but this is the best depth for the nature of the board.

  • Can I use these in a bathroom?

Yes, but we would advise using an extra coat of your finishing product on top.
