Scots Pine Flooring Estimator

Introducing our limited edition Scots Pine flooring. All of our Pine boards have been sourced from managed woodlands in the heart of Scotland. We have expertly chosen exceptional trees for their quality to produce floor boards at these unique dimensions.

Our Scots Pine is a softwood floor with a calm grain pattern swooping along the length of each board. Dark honey coloured tones interspersed in the light timber create a warm tone to your design. The occasional knot in the floor gives a depth to your room and adds a touch of character typical of UK grown timber.

Scots Pine is a historical flooring choice for homes staying authentic to the Victorian and Edwardian era, but is also used for modern day barn conversions and family homes.

FAQs for Scots Pine Flooring

  • Is softwood as durable as some of the hardwood flooring options?

Softwood is by its name a softer timber. The flooring is not as hard wearing as a hardwood counterpart, but it is still a strong and durable flooring. It is a flooring where marks are to be embraced with time.

  • Do I need to sand the boards?

The boards will arrive planed and ready to be laid. We advise sanding once laid, but this is not completely necessary if you are happy with a more rustic effect.

  • Why are these boards thicker than other flooring options?

Due to the unique lengths and widths we have chosen to plane these boards to a thicker profile of 25mm to make them easier and more manageable to lay.
